Bible Study Opportunities
Sunday Morning Pastors’ Bible Study covers a range of topics and books of the Bible. Held in the Upper Lounge between Sunday morning worship services (9:30-10:30am year round). Coffee and doughnuts are provided. The class is currently studying Old Testament worship in Leviticus with Pastor Kempin.

Lifelight - The next Lifelight session starts on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 and will focus on the books of Ephesians and 1 & 2 Thessalonians.  The books for this study are in the chapel and you may pick yours up and sign the sheet indicating you have done so and which session you plan to attend. Lifelight will meet on Wednesdays from 9:30-11 a.m. or 7-8:30 p.m. thru March 1.

Tuesday Morning OWLS Bible Class meets at 10am in Room 2 on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. A hearty welcome is extended to all retirees or those who are 55+ years old. See the church calendar for exact dates.

Adult Information Classes are held periodically throughout the year to provide instruction in Lutheran doctrine to those desiring to become members of St. John’s and also as a refresher course for any of our current members. Classes are informal and each participant receives a complimentary copy of the book Lutheranism 101, published by Concordia Publishing House. Total class time is approximately ten to twelve hours over the course of at least six weeks. The next series of adult information classes begins in September, but private classes can be arranged with the pastor.

Small Group Bible Studies meet at members' homes. These groups of 3-12 people meet regularly for the purpose of growing in their knowledge of God's saving Word and to enjoy fellowship with fellow believers. Resource Room (Room 2) houses our library of approximately 500 volumes. Primary subject areas are theological references, children's stories, and contemporary Christian writings. Video and cassette tapes are also available for checkout. We also have our lower level Media Center with many books for young readers and a computer lab.
