St. John's is affiliated with the following area Lutheran organizations:

LUTHERAN CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES of Michigan (main office: 6019 W. Side Saginaw Rd., PO Box 48, Bay City, MI 48707, (989) 686-7650) is concerned with families who need special attention because of unfortunate circumstances, Several foster care homes are supported by this organization.

LUTHERAN HOMES OF MICHIGAN operates two homes for the elderly in Frankenmuth and Monroe. St John's is a member of and has representation on the board.

SYNODICAL MEMBERSHIP - To carry on our activities beyond our immediate community, our congregation, together with the other 6,000 congregations of  The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LC-MS) unite to carry on world missions, educate future church workers, and to cooperate in other activities.   The LC-MS is subdivided into 37 districts including the Michigan District, St. John's home district, circuit #5 of the Michigan District.
